Director's Note

Ebrahim Torki

 

Prevention Association of Social Harms (PASH) is non-governmental, non-profit and non-political organization which is active with the official focal point of the Interior Ministry of the Islamic Republic of Iran, and is in Special Consultative Status to ECOSOC.
PASH is on the pursuit of the use of suitable opportunities to inform all members of society of the harms that are potentially out there, and has no choice but to communicate with governmental, nongovernmental and international organizations and build bridges among them.
What the Association pursues is, in the first place to create a link based on mutual respect with the target group and its needs, and secondly to present expertise activities in new attractive ways along with research and study.

Association Perspective

With information dissemination, education, protection from and prevention of social harms and also charitable and humanitarian activities, the Association thinks about a healthy society and reaching sustainable development.

 

Mission Statement

PASH is a non-governmental, non-profit and non-political organization which has been established for charitable and humanitarian activities at national, regional and international levels, without consideration of colour, race, gender and religion. Information dissemination, education and awareness are at the top of the list of the activities of the Association.

 

Organizational Objectives

The objectives are as follows:
Efforts to prevent social harms; support for those damaged by society and vulnerable individuals; raising public awareness levels; prevention of HIV/AIDS and fight against addiction; support for children and women’s rights; and also promotion of citizen’s rights; prevention and crisis management and dealing with refugee matters.
Directorate

PASH, headquartered in Iran, is governed by a directorate that is chaired by Dr. Ebrahim Torki who has been the president of NGO since it has been established.
