Thousands of Yemenis have been killed or injured in airstrikes against the country in the last two years since the start of the war.

According to international reports 12 million Yemenis are in famine conditions due to the continuation of war and they need humanitarian aid.

Also, nearly 2.2 million Yemeni children are in real malnutrition and victims of the destroyed health and medical system of the country.

Almost half of Yemeni children s growth has been stunted and in comparison to children in their age group of other countries, they are shorter, something that indicates chronic malnutrition.

Due to the conflict and resulted destruction, this country is still taking victims and it is said that every ten minutes one Yemeni child loses its life.

Sadly, instead of sending humanitarian aid, some countries continue to send weapons and provide military assistance to aggressor countries, for their further profits and gains. And this way, they are partners to the extensive and systematic human rights violation, and are seen as the instigators of the killing of civilians, women and children in particular.

Is not time that world leader's stop giving priority to their economic interests, in return for the realization of peace and prevention of the slaughter of civilians?

As a non-governmental organization active in humanitarian fields, in one voice with other humanitarian organizations call upon the international community, and the human Rights Council in particular to not remain indifferent towards the blatant and extensive violation of human rights in Yemen, and take measures to prevent the arms sales and also to send food and urgent humanitarian aid for the people of Yemen, women and children in particular.
