An attractive act by the Iranian NGOs in Geneva

Besides having placed the Seven Sin table (Haft Sin) & offering flowers and sweets to the passers, the NGO’s representatives provided explanations about the historical background of the Nowrooz ceremony & holidays in Iran.

 
In an interesting step, the Iranian NGOs who have a consultative status within the United Nation’ s Economic and Social Council, set up a shelter on the square in front of the UN European office congratulating the passers and visitors for the arriving of spring and Nowrooz festivities.
Besides having placed the Seven Sin table (Haft Sin) and offering flowers and sweets to the passers, the NGO’s representatives provided explanations about the historical background of the Nowrooz ceremony and holidays in Iran.
By representing the slogan "In a world where crimes and violence have become normal, let’s be kind and generous", the Iranian NGOs invited everyone to a world without violence and extremism.
The exposition continued for three days with a positive reactions of visitors from different nationalities who, with signing the memorial tablet, congratulated the Iranian people on their New Year.
12 NGOs with advisory status at the United Nations Economic and Social Council have traveled to Geneva to attend the Human Rights Council, providing statements in the assembly on the condemnation of extremism and violence, supporting women and children in armed conflicts, condemning minority rights violations, harms towards ethnic and religious beliefs in Iraq and Syria, and also support for the protection of the rights of children in the occupied territories.
The holding of specialized panels was another part of the programs presented by these NGOs which was applauded and welcomed.
The Prevention Association of Social Harms (P.A.S.H.), as a non-governmental organization with an advisory status in ECOSOC, was one of the 12 NGOs that hosted the program.
